Good Compromises on Iowa's Front

Iowa gave up some, but gained a lot imo in these divisions and protected games. They gave up the yearly Wisconsin game, but gained an end of the year game against Nebraska that should be bigger on a national scale. The Iowa/Purdue protected game is a little bit of a letdown, but they get to keep their game against Minnesota every year for the battle of the pig and is in a division that offers a better chance to get to the Big 10 CG.

The one team that didn't fare well was Wisconsin. I'm sure their fans are ******. They seemed to give up everything and got very little in return.

I wouldn't want to be in Wisconsin's shoes either. Penn St. is going to be a tough team over the next decade when they bring in some new blood after Jopa retires this year. Then to make things worse... you still have tOSU in your division. I think Purdue has a healthy 10 year run in them as well with their new coach. Tough sledding for the Badgers.

I can hear Wisconsins cries from madison all the way here to shellsburg, ia! lol. I agree, iowa gained and is sitting good.

Love not being in OSU's conference. Hate to loose Wisconsin. But gaining Nebraska as the last game is so exciting - that must be what Jon was so excited about. Can't wait!

Wisconsin fans are going to be mad. But I bet when they go to 9 games they will gain the Nebraska rivalry. It will be interesting to see if we continue to play Nebraska as the last game after that happens, if it happens. I guess Alvarez didn't have as much sway as everyone thought.

This sucks that we lose so much next year, especially on defense. I hope we are truly at that "reload" level instead of the "rebuild" level because we could do some damage with our schedule next year.
