Think it also shows that we recruit on par with an FCS team. 2017 class seems to be a step above, but won't comment on that class until they actually sign.

Think we actually recruit more on-par with a upper-level MAC team. There is reason we always lose to MAC schools, ISU, etc. In fact, we have lost a mind-blowing 11 games as double-digit favorite since 2006 (more than anyone else by a long-shot). Just don't have superior athletes, and our scheme is pretty basic, without many curveballs to throw at opponents to keep em off-balance.
