Gonzaga vs Duke : Who do you want to Win?

And who do you think will win.

Obviously, since the Zags knocked out the Hawkeyes,
I want them to win.

And I have a sneaking suspicion that they'll prevail.


How about you? Their game is late Sunday afternoon
 
I picked Duke on my bracket so Ill root for them. Gonzagas size could definitely frustrate Okafor though.
 
No rooting interested but just looking forward to the match up. I think it has the potential to be a great one.
 
Zags shot 16% f/3 and made 1 more basket than UCLA but still dismantled them with the Karno / Sabo attack. They won't shoot that poorly again and should be able to overwhelm Duke inside, as well as with Wiltjer's length outside.

Zag's shoot a pedestrian (for them) 35% from 3 and win 81-73.
 
I picked Duke in my brackets and I think it will be Duke. Okafor didn't do a lot last night against the double teams but didn't get frustrated that I noticed. I was more focused on the other game. And Duke also had a fairly pedestrian game last night IMO. I like Duke 84-71.
 
i have gonzaga beating duke to get to final 4, so that is who i'll cheer for - that being said, i'd take anyone but duke. i like gonzaga - they play ball like it should be played - love their inside game - love the big polish guy - don't see centers play that that much any more - once they figured out they weren't making their shots - just feed the big man - he had a couple great assists to the other big fella as well!

I agree on both counts. I'd like to Zags to win, not only because the Zags beat us, but because if Duke wins that means a likely KY vs Duke showdown in the final where both teams are dominated by freshmen. Don't like that precedent.

I also predict the Zags to win. Their big men are the key to their success. There are 2 of them and only one Okafor. And Utah's similar-type center to Gonzga's (Poelti) did have some success against him in Friday's game, going 10pts/8rb vs Okafor's 6pts/8rb. Gonzaga really just needs to have enough presence inside to allow looks outside- then it clicks. They also have Wiltjer to counter Winslow and a veteran backcourt. Duke only won by 6 vs Utah. In this case, I'm going with the veteran team vs the one that starts 3 freshmen.

Definitely don't see the overwhelming Duke.

It should be a really good game.
 
Because of Dickie V, I hate Duke. I have two favorite teams: the Hawks & whoever is playing Duke. I'd even root the hell for Silo Tech to beat Duke. The only time I've ever rooted for Moo U was against Notre Dame in the tournament a few years ago.
 
Duke has a great program, Coach K is a solid person but they have won enough.

I will like to see the zags win.
 
Hopefully duke. I'm just rooting for isu to finish 64th. Isu < uab < ucla < zags < duke < msu/Louisville < Kent/wisc.

Pretty much, agree. Coach K is a class act.
UNC 'their nemesis' is currently under NCAA Sanctions. Roy Williams is the Opposite of Coach K,
a cheater, clear back to his days at Kansas.

That being said, I'd like to see Gonzaga in this Final Four and not Duke.

NOTE: If you haven't watched the 30 for 30 special, 'I hate Christian Laettner' you need to do so.

Got to go for Duke (which is very rare). I thought Gonzaga was rather smug (don't care what others say) when they played us and would like to see #33 in tears in particular at the end of the game for the Zags.

All of this is true but it doesn't take into account that they did that against a team that isn't very good.
