Gold out in Kinnick for slain ISU golfer?

No, this is just Levi (Hawk Heaven or Heaven Hawk or whatever) being a douche and trying change what's already planned. Just like he tried to take credit for inventing the Wave, when it was someone that commented on his page that suggested it. Once he was called out on it, he backed off.

It's Stripes. Not gold-out.

Give her a pregame shoutout...sure. But its already a planned striped game.

Also, might be a little strange if the football team did a tribute for the ISU golfer, but nothing for Mollie Tibbetts....an actual UI student

I thought about this as well. It could be looked at as a tribute to both, I suppose. But then what about the male UI Student who died right at the beginning of the semester from boating injuries sustained earlier in the summer? What about the UNI employee how died last week in a steam tunnel accident? As callous as it seems, these tribute decisions get difficult because it can be seen as valuing one life ahead of another.

The best reasoning I can see for doing it in this case is Arozamena is an athlete from a fellow Regents institute, hence making a tribute at a sporting event logical. It would be a nice gesture, but it also creates difficult questions. I think I could be persuaded either way.

Is he the guy people I have seen people ragging on for trying to profit from Wave t-shirts?

These colored-shirt games are poorly promoted, in my humble opinion. Where is the information published? Is there a seating chart so I know what colored shirt I'm to wear? Or, is it even still on, because I thought last week was to be a blackout game, and it wasn't.

The way to pay tribute to a golfer is to have a drunken long drive competition in their honor. Set up a long drive area somewhere near the stadium, make people prove they are .12 and higher and let them take a few hacks at the rock for $5 per swing and give the winner a modest prize with the proceeds going to a charity the golfer would have supported.

Are you suggesting people actually golf sober? #NotMyAmerica

Just letting you know I would win that.

It's never well advertised, you usually have to go searching for it.

It's on all the season tickets what game is what. I know last week was supposed to be the blackout game but since it was UNI I wonder if anyone cared???

The ticket said blackout game for UNI, but this was actually a mistake. It was not a blackout game.

Why not honor them both? It not rocket science.
