This post got me to check out the team's page on ESPN and I noticed that Bluder's recruiting is really picking up lately. This year's team seems to be doing a better job of maintaining success throughout the season, rather than always taking a step back after taking one forward and winding up with an 8/9 seed, and I think the program is finally ready to take the next step.
Class of 2014: Chase Coley (4*, graded at 95 on ESPN)
Class of 2015: Tania Davis (5*, graded at 97 on ESPN); Megan Gustafson (4*, graded 93); Hannah Stewart (4*, graded 92)
Class of 2016: Amanda Ollinger (4*, graded 94)
There's a solid collection of 3* recruits, too, plus Mason City's Makenzie Meyer in the 2016 class. She's not rated on ESPN, but she's got potential. Currently leading Class 5A in scoring and is averaging over 8 rebounds per game (10th best in the state) as a 5'9" shooting guard. Pretty good outside shooter, too (42% on 6.3 3pt FGA per game).
