Actually, no. I lived in Michigan when the used go burn the city, I also lived in LA during the RK riots. Memphis just isn't that type of place. Big parts of the town are rough, but there isn't the same collective elements. Plus, when you can walk out of the arena into a giant party on Beale Street, there isn't a reason for random roving crowds. Finally, the town is still mostly a Tiger's town.
At this point it is pretty much a novelty to most of the town. Also, the most troubling elements are probably still Lakers fans mostly.
