Did you notice what he said about Iowa being the state's flagship program? I don't recall his father saying that....
 
From watching BF on the sidelines and the fire he's displayed, as a fan, I have no problem with him being the OC.

However, KF is still the head coach meaning the OC, no matter who it is, will only have so much flexibility under KF. Of course Iowa can't be much worse offensively then they've been the last 5 years. I guess that's something to look forward to.

No I didn't, but I do like the inference.

I also think he's got some blood in the water shark instincts Pops doesn't have. Me likie that a lot.

What he said and what he did are two different things. IMHO, he was very lacking when it came to playing ISU. Hawkeye fans wanted a thumping laid on them ketchup & mustard boys and he never fully realized that fact. At least I know I did.

I'm not sure what your point is? Perhaps I should have said "read the comments" when he was hired. You aren't seriously trying to tell us that Kirk Ferentz doesn't hold the University in high regard and want success for the programs here? I think his actions have more than demonstrated that he thinks this is a first class institution and he has said as much many times. I think he expresses himself differently than Brian, but they are both loyal Hawkeyes.

You're obviously missing the point that's been made over the last several years.
 
I cant speak for anybody on this site, but it's the FOOTBALL GAME that is in question here. Not either university's integrity. Nobody doubts KF's loyalty to the University of Iowa as a whole. Iowa State is a fine university too, if you want to be a cow/pig doctor. :) I don't think anybody questions that.

Just win the damn football game. That's all we're saying. And we don't care how unimportant it may seem to the rest of the football world.

Nice post OP. Much preferred to the negative drivel I've seen here since BF got hired. Let's see what the young man can do.
