Get to Know Nathan Stanley in this Extensive Interview

Is this Nathan Stanley or his 12 year old brother? He should grow out his hair and not shave for the rest of the fall. Take a drag on a Marlboro, shoot a beer. Or, throw 4 TD passes on Saturday.

If he can handle the offense as well as he did those interview questions we are in good shape. Love that stiff arm he dished out regarding the changes on offense.

Few takeaways -
  • Poor kid - seemed like he was going to hyperventilate early in the interview. Got a little better as the interview went on.
  • His quietness/shyness is actually pretty intense. Almost like an assassin. We shouldn't be fooled by his timid persona.
  • He's very composed in his responses for such an uncomfortable situation.
I think this all adds up to someone who won't get rattled too easily. And someone who will let his actions speak louder than his words.

When you're left asking what other schools he considered going to, after he's been here for 2 years and is now the starting QB, you've pretty much run out of questions.

Can't blame em. They've been waiting over a year to talk to the kid. They had a lot of built up questions to ask! :D

Some of the background questions were for guys writing features. Not everybody follows recruiting so that's why he was asked about it. Better to have too much info than not enough when writing a story.

As long as they don't ask his favorite color.
