Get out of my championship, Butler.

Butler had a great season and was a great team, but in the final game of the NCAA tournament I want a power vs. a power, or a quality matchup, not some power like Duke vs. a mid major like Butler that injuried its way into the final game. Seriously, they had the easiest road to get there out of anyone in the tournament. They played Syracuse who has a history of choking and wasn't playing with Onuaku, they played KState who was obviously tired and playing on pure adrenaline because of their game with Xavier, and then played Michigan State who wasn't that good to begin with, especially playing without Kalin Lucas. Not to mention that these games are taking place 6 miles from their campus, which is a factor that shouldn't contribute to their success but probably gives them the confidence to beat a team like Michigan State and ruin the final for the rest of the nation. I'll take Duke by 20.

I gotta think Butler was hoping for West Virgina. Duke does everything Butler does well better than Butler does it. Of course you never know what is going to happen in a championship game.

Butler are Duke are the ONLY teams in the nation that are 5-0 to this point in the NCAA Tournament. Bathia, you can make excuses and play some sort of lame "injury", "tired", or "opponents were not that good" cards, but the fact remains that no one has beaten them yet.

Also, regarding your thread title, since when did it become "your" championship game?

Butler may get beaten tomorrow night, and they may lose big (of course, they actually might win the game too), but no matter what happens, you can't take anything away from what they have accomplished.

How could anyone possibly pull for Duke in this one? You've got to be pulling for Butler. Duke has made a name for themselves.....just once, it would be nice for a team like Butler to take it all.....it would give CBS fits!

That post isn't even worth reading, so I'm not really sure what I'm responding to. That being said, how will you feel if Butler wins tomorrow night?

Right, there are no valid points made in my OP at all. And they won't win. This is the first complete team they've played.

I wanted to see Syracuse,Kentucky, Duke and Ohio State in the final four.

The quality of talent in the final four this year is really bad.

I hate Duke as much as anyone, but I have to admit, I have resented Butler's success the last 3 years. As much as I don't want to, I think I will be going for the Blue Devils Monday night.

I will be pulling for Butler hardcore. However you can bet your bottom if this game is close the refs will make DAMN sure Duke wins.

but it is karma---for us to get rid of Lick: butler has to win, their coach gets a really good job offer, and Lick goes back to Butler. It is a win win win win win

Right, and Duke played who? Everybody said that they had a pretty easy road to the Final Four, too. Obviously, they draw a 16 seed. Then they get 9 seed Cal. In the Sweet Sixteen they play a tired and Robbie Hummel-less Purdue team. They played two legit teams, Baylor and WVU.

Duke's road may have been a little tougher, but it wasn't like they played in the Midwest Region. They were set up to make a run like this. Butler has caught some breaks, but that's how it goes, and how it should be. I'd much rather see a team like Butler get in than ALWAYS seeing UNC, Duke, MSU, UCLA, Kansas, etc. in the Final Four. It gets old. If there's no ultimate uncertainty, than there's no Madness at all.

I was pulling for Sparty, but they didn't get it done. Tough to play without Lucas.

Now, I'm pulling for Butler. I hate Duke.
