Gameday and Fowler mocking the B1G 10

Fowler decided to laugh at whether GameDay would even get around to picking and talking about some B1G games. He was saying stuff like "does anyone want to even pick Iowa-Purdue or Maryland-Indiana" Since there are 3 B1G guys on the GameDay set at least a couple of them said things like "Indiana had a good win at Missouri" and "I wouldnt pick Purdue".

Gameday is on for 3 hours and Fowler has to cheapshot the Big.

I hope the Hawks win out now more so Fowler can eat some crow.
 
Chris Fowler is still feeling it, from when he negotiated his way to call play-by-play for the ABC Saturday Night Football games. I know some don't like Musberger, but Brent should be allowed to decide when is the time to quit that spotlight game, and to give him the SEC prime time game with the Bachelor is not the way to treat him.

As most of us, we used to watch this every morning.
About 10 years ago, it's started being difficult to watch.
Since the constant shilling of the SEC, it became brutal to watch.
Since the debut of BTN, I've tended to watch this more.
 
Gameday is background filler noise for me at best. Sure it is on at the tailgates before the Hawk games, but if I'm at home for an away game, I don't even turn it on.
 
Fowler definitely clowns on the B1G often, particularly the middling and low level teams. But as KF likes to say, "You get what you deserve" and Fowler has about a decade of futility to base his opinions on. At some point I hope the B1G can change things on the field. Until then, its only going to get worse.
 
Of course Fowler mocked the BIG. That's what he's paid to do. That and pump up the SEC teams. To bad someone disn't ask him about bowl season when they match up against the BIG. Fowler should go back to horse racing. He's one of those guys that gets his chance because hehangs on at that network. The best thing about gameday is the signs the crowd holds up. My favorite was "Lou Holtz spits when he talks".

I stopped watching GD a few years ago. Theyhave a human interest story or two, preview some games in each conference. Theytalk mostly about the top ten, statistical leaders, another human intereststory, circle jerk over the SEC.

I agree... i have just stopped listening to any "pregame" show on (or really, any ESPN show for that matter). Are there any others out there that are any good?
 
I wish Brent was still on ABC primetime. Fowler sucks! Dont really care for Herbstreit either
 
I like Herbstreit and Musberger on games. Brent can get a little over the top sometimes but he's been pro Iowa for the most part even though he struggles pronouncing Hawkeyes. They're usually not overly biased. On gameday they can only do what they're told and that's to promote the SEC. Most gameday shows are at an SEC venue ESPN has been in bed with the SEC for a long time.

LSU should have lost to Wisconsin, but Gordon was banged up and they stopped giving him the ball. Wisconsin is not the best the BIG has to offer this year. But the 3 teams that I don't think would win the BIG LSU, Texas A&M, and Arkansas would certainly all have a shot at the BIG West, especially if they had Iowa's schedule.
