Game Truths

It isn't gloom and doom but here are some truths about the game...

1) Our defense isn't overrated by any stretch of the imagination, but that being said our defensive line was pretty much non-existent for the first half and our DB's continue their tradition of being the weaker part of the unit. Watch the last TD by AZ, Castillo barely moves when the receiver makes the cut to the inside. Is that coaching, I don't know.

2) A 3rd grader could tell you the number one reason we lost is our special teams. Its especially disheartening because we all thought this was the number 1 priority all week at practice. Maybe its time to put a couple starters out there for leadership, injuries or no injuries.

3) Our offensive line looked like a turnstile. Kirk has a project on his hands. Ricky isn't particularly smart in the pocket, he needs time. If these guys cannot get it together then it will be a rough go of it in the Big Ten.

4) Obviously Jewel is hurt now so I don't know if it will matter, but he needed to be in on every possession. I understand Kirk is a fair guy, but Robinson was flat out brutal. Hampton wasn't great, but he was absolutely the better back.

5) We can stop talking about Gameday and poll positions every week, seriously, stop.

6) We have the best coach in the country. He won't let this team give up.
