Game Preview, Prediction: Hawkeyes Play Host to Explosive Maryland

I like to go through and look at the games they played, review stats, etc. The Temple game is just a mystery to me. They got beat 35-14 and their 14 points were off a pick six and a punt block returned for a touchdown. So their offense scored 0 points against Temple. A team with wins over Texas and a beat down of Minnesota should concern the crap out of you...but there are a few head scratchers with the Temple game thrown in.

I guess you load up to stop the run and force Hill to be accurate from the pocket...keeping him in the pocket is usually easier said than done.

In the short stints where I have seen them play...they looked like they have some big boys that can rush the passer. We are going to find out how good our pass blocking is...and I'm sure they will bring extra bodies too. This is an intriguing game.

After carefully rewatching gamefilm on both teams, comparing offensive and defensive philosophies, updating the injury situation, adjusting for travel distances and homefield advantage, the weather, the oddsmakers, and several other factors. I have come on one overwhelming conclusion about the way this game will play out.

My prediction: PAIN!!!!
AND LOTS OF IT!!!!
 
Yikes, a punt block, hope it doesn't come down to a special teams is the difference game.

This one should be intriguing.

A team that can either run or pass well but not both is beatable, quite often.

Who will win the battle in the trenches?
 
Things are starting to consistently click on offense ... Defense staying stout ... Hawks are top 20 ... Sagarin has Hawks by 12 ... Vegas has Hawks by 9 to 11 ... Rob has Hawks by 14 ... it's Homecoming ...

Is this about the time for Maryland 28 - Iowa 20? ...
Or, is this for real, Iowa 30 - Maryland 24?
