I think "a bust" is pretty strong. He had a revolving door of line coaches since he signed. He is a Pro-Bowl caliber lineman.

He sucked at T, he led the league in sacks allowed 1 or 2 seasons. Wherever he goes he will benefit most being a tackle or somewhere with the zone blocking scheme. Greenbay would be sweet with him lined up next to Bulaga.

He's just not a Pro Bowl-caliber left tackle. For as highly drafted as he was, he was a "bust". You don't draft a guard at #2 overall. He's still an excellent player, he's just not a Pro Bowl left tackle, which is what you're looking for at that pick.

IIRC, he started out at LT, then moved to RT, and then moved inside. But I was only 13 years old in his rookie year, so I may be wrong on that.

He started out at LT and was quickly stripped of any self-confidence and due to the recurring elbow problems they moved him to RT for a time, then moved him inside and he's played well ever since...his main problem lately is the injury bug.

Agreed. Sign Gallery at guard, re-sign Kruetz, and draft Carimi put them with Williams at other guard and Webb at tackle and you just made your o-line significantly better. I guess the question is what is it going to cost to sign Gallery?

It's going to cost an arm and leg but the Bears REALLY need an oline upgrade.

Colon, Komenateau, Pouncey,Gallery, Starks would make a good o-line.

You look at guys like Joe Thomas, Jake Long who were able to make the transition to the NFL at LT, its all about foot work and Gallery simply doesn't have it. Speed rushers ate him up. You just can't have that at the LT spot.

Angelo's #1 Priority needs to be this line. It is.

Gallery and Carimi would be a marked improvement.
