G5 Teams Have No Business Being In The CFP

I think you add the following to the list that don't belong in the CFP.

Notre Dame (always lose in CFP)
Big 12 champiions (Always lose in CFP)

And I believe you can make a similar argument for the Big Ten championship game. No Big Ten West team has any business playing in the Big Ten championship game.

If you went to an 8 team playoff and the B1G West won the conference they would. And G5 teams would still have no business.

There will always be 2-3 SEC/ACC teams that are miles above everyone else and that’s not going to change no matter how many teams are in the playoff and no matter who you let in.

Until Cincinnati or anyone else has to play a big boy schedule they shouldn’t be participating.

One win against ND and a bunch more against Central Upper Eastern South Tallahassee State don’t give you the cred.

Cincy lost less worse, yes I said less worse, than Wash, NDame, MSU, the Sooners who flat looked bad the last two times they were in there, and maybe a couple of more P5 chum baits, so of course I disagree.

Cincy definitely needed more size, weight and strength in the defensive front seven but maybe that is something they can get to. Same on offense, their OLine just couldnt push and open it up consistently.

Only thing I will say about Cincy is if LF leaves for somewhere else, they sink back into the abyss. They got their dream season and they are still 3 scores behind the big boys.

To be fair, Bama has pounded teams like the Buckeyes by similar or worse scores. Saban's Bama is just a damn tough team to compete and win against us.

And pound those Wolves Dogs.

What team(s) from the East have beaten a West team for the BT championship? MSU vs Iowa in one of the most physical, kick ass games ever. Anyone else besides OSU?

It would have to be Michigan, Michigan St, and Ohio St right? Penn St has not been there I think.

Yeah, well you and I don’t get to vote.

Of course Ohio St and Michigan would both bitch if they were split up and they could not play each other every year.

4 teams from the East have won the Big Ten championship game.

OSU 5 times in 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020.

MSU once over Iowa 2015
PSU once over Wisc 2016
Mich once over Iowa 2021

Cincinnati still deserved their spot by their record. Michigan is clearly out classed by the former slave state of Georgia.
