Future Hawkeye on TV today...

If I recall, Rodney Coe is playing today on NBC at Noon in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Who knows, maybe we will see another future Hawk or two in this game as well. Does anyone know if we are in on any of the kids who are still undecided and playing in this game?

this is a typical all-star game, sloppy and hard to watch. Dropped balls, overthrown balls, penalties, turnovers, etc. Ugly....

Coe is huge. Had a nice tackle in the backfield. He is a big boy. He'll be a monster at tailback.

Yeah, so far it is a sloppy game. Poor decisions by the qb's and the East punt returner catching that punt on his own 1 yard line. I did see Coe's tackle, but neither team has really tried to run the ball yet. Let's hope Coe gets a few carries and can change that.

These QB's aren't very good. The top kids played in the Under Armour game. That said Ely is awful, not sure what Saban sees. Not very accurate and seems like an average arm. The only fun left in this is watching the top all-purpose back in the country spurn UM for Alabama in a little bit. Dee Hart was by far their best recruit....

Apparently French just ran down the Michigan Decommit in the backfield and showed some great speed.

French is playing linebacker today - he's projected as a linebacker in college. IMO, and I'm getting ready for the incoming, Coe would be a great Will linebacker at Iowa - a talent equal to French. I mean, French runs a 4.4 forty. How many tight ends rival that speed?

Think of this sales pitch: join Greenway and Edds as Will linebackers from Iowa that made it to the NFL. Not to mention Mike linebacker Angerer.
Darrell will groom him - overload him with responsibilities.

A first round pick in the NFL draft.
Maybe I'm getting a bit too excited.

I read online that a Defensive End from the Penn was still looking at Iowa. His name was Simmons. I didn't see if he committed to anywhere today. Is Iowa still in the running for him? Or has he already committed somewhere? He looked like a beast out there today.
