Great win today and very good play overall lately even in a loss to Purdue. A great young nucleous is developing now with Fran's two recruiting classes.....

A couple of us have been noting how within 2 years the basketball program will be surpassing the football program in quality. Fran is the man with a plan. He brings passion, desire and motivation. He's tough as nails and he continues to work with this program and bringing quality players in. We are in the process improving dramatically. There will still be some tough losses but we are moving in the right direction. He plays an exciting style of basketball now even in losses. To the contrary football is not hungry and lacks motivation which is troubling.

Great win again today... keep up the good work Fran and crew! Really loved watching us run the Wisconsin and Bo Ryan stiffs off of the floor!!!!

To the fan base get on the bandwagon now... look out in the next couple of seasons!

What I love about Fran is his aggressive, attacking style. It is fun to watch and fun to play, which will attract good players.

Iowa could be both but it took fans not showing up for years at bball games to to force the administration to go out and be aggressive in finding a good coach.

As long as Kinnick is full every week and boosters are still ponying up cash there is no incentive to change.

Just remember those recruits next year are just HS players and no matter how good they do, they aren't playing against B10 players according to some on this board. Oh Wait, that big red haired guy that played so well in HS is averaging 10 a game and 5.5 rebounds and now against two of the top teams in the B10 he is averaging 12.5. Don't look for those recruits next year to contribute because they haven't played against real players. SARCASM!!!

Fran is doing exactly what he should do to make the Hawks a winner. He is mixing in underclassman with talent which will go along ways next year and the years after. White will take Mays starting position and it should be now. Olglesby is getting better each game and his shot is coming naturally now. I wish he would have been in more this afternoon but we won the game. Next year, White, Woodbury, Gesell, Basabe and Marble with a great bench. Reminds me of the Tom Davis days.
