Fuller best rebounding big man in the Big Ten?

The guy is a machine on the boards. Last 8 Big Ten games averaging 8.75 per. Turner is the only guy averaging more than that at 9.3. Last night he was hardly on the court and midway through the second half he had 8 boards.

Overall he gave about as quality of 20 minutes as a post can last night.

Spank, if you read this just wanted to say nice call on the prediction. I thought we would really struggle even getting shots off against the 1-3-1. The best offensive performance I have seen in a long time. It was a fun game to watch. I don't mind 24 3s if they are good looks which almost all of them were. We balanced it tonight with some very good inside play.

Not to mention he leads the big ten in offensive rebounds. He's doing one helluva job on the glass giving Iowa extra possessions

I really like Fuller. I have been very impressed with his development. I am not a big Lickliter fan, but the coaching staff deserves a lot of credit in this regard. Fuller has continued to battle through a tough season and is really emerging as a player.

I would say he may be best offensive rebounder but not sure best overall. He has a knack for getting on offensive boards but Iowa needs to do better on defensive end.

when you factor in height I would definitely agree. He has to work for rebounds, they don't just fall to him because he is above everyone else.

I've also really enjoyed the emergence of Fuller. He needs to work on cutting down his fouls though so he can stay on the floor longer.

I agree that Fuller has a knack for getting in position, has the body to make space, and long arms and quick jumping to get the ball...now that said, I think it is only fair to point out that Iowa usually shoots a poor percentage so there are a lot of rebounds to be had on the offensive end, making it easier for a good rebounder like Aaron to scoop them up. Glad he has recovered from that ankle injury,so that he has been able to validate early hype on him...we know what we have now,and we like it.

He has long arms and a good grip, but what I really notice is he jumps very quickly and has great anticipation for where the ball is going. Those are things you can't teach very well. I've been very critical of Lick, but you got to respect his eye for finding Fuller, May and Cougill when they weren't big name recruits.
