From what I can gather off of Tennessee's stat sheet

They look a lot like Iowa. They are very long and play 10 deep. Mcrae is a 6'6 wing that leads their team in scoring. Stokes is a 6'8 - 270 lb double/double machine. Anyone know what style they play? I know Martin played for Keady but the 10 player rotation isn't really Keady-like. Thoughts?

I watched some ESPNU last night and from their discussion, Trae Golden transferred from Tenn to GT and so they tried a few guys out early in the year but Mcrae has settled in at the PG spot.

Don't know much about Tenn. I heard Gottlieb on tv saying they're a team that likes to go inside a lot. Maybe this is a game where Fran goes big and dares them to shoot from outside….(just did a kirk snort while typing that)

Think Ohio State. Tough, physical defensive team but not greatest offensive team. AW and MB need to show up.

They have some big dudes who love to hammer the offensive glass. Iowa bigs are going to have their hands full, White will need to crash the glass and Gabe will need to be Gabe. I would imagine Basabe will play extra minutes as well as he seems to be the only one hustling on the rebounds lately.

It was a long time ago, but when I watched Tennessee in Atlantis they took some really dumb/bad shots the entire game which cost them against UTEP. Talking to their fans after the game they said their team does that a lot, launching dumb shots outside of their offense game plan. Seems they fixed it the next day against Xavier though

If Tenn loves to hammer the glass.... perhaps this could create some opportunities in our transition game... may not be a bad thing.

Maybe this is good for Whitey. He played very well against Ohio State in the state of Ohio in front of his friends and family. With the game being in Dayton, I'm sure they'll all be there. Hopefully that helps light a fire under Aaron and it permeates through the rest of the team.
