Jeff Schultz might become one of my favorite writers after his take on the game tonight:

"The Hawkeyes were smarter, disciplined, tougher, more physical and, in this game, better prepared and better coached. The score would’ve been more lopsided but the defense held the Jackets in it, even equaling the offense in touchdowns."

and ...

"Iowa, like LSU in the Chick-fil-A Bowl last season, seemed to benefit from a month to prepare for Johnson’s offense. But it went beyond that. The Hawkeyes have the nation’s 10th-ranked defense. It showed. Their front seven dominated Tech’s offensive line throughout the first half. Their linemen were disciplined and didn’t miss tackles. Quarterback Josh Nesbitt seldom had room to operate. "

Well said by someone that should have a hometown spin in his column.

Wow, Mr Schultz said it very well. I don't know if he will have a job tomorrow but none-the-less he spoke the truth. Iowa dominated the first half in stopping the run game. GT could not get anything going. You have to admit they had a great 3rd quarter(made me nervous). I just hate when Iowa is compared to LSU, we are a much better club than they are! Love listening to the post game on-line when I live in Arkansas. Thanks to a great persson who posted the link!!!!
