His team at UCLA were wildly inconsistent, they looked like they lacked competent coaching. He brought in some good talent to UCLA but that could easily be attributed to the UCLA brand than to Lavin. yeah 4 sweet sixteen in 5 years, wildly inconsistent... even North Carolina has trouble providing back to back achieving seasons. I'm not saying he is on the top of my list, but to think it would be horrible hire would be delusional.
