Friendly Wagers?

My boss is a Wisconsin fan and I am,of course, a diehard Hawkeye fan. We have a bet on this game every year - a traveling dime. The dime is on a card with Badger and Hawk colors and it goes to the winner of the football game each year to be proudly displayed on the bulletin board of the winner. Kind of our traveling Heartland Trophy.:)

Anyone have any friendly wagers on this (or any other) game with friends/coworkers/family? Maybe Nebraska game?

Iowa in it's last 11 games against winning teams. Iowa is 11-0 in November games against the spread under KF. But in the end you don't even know wtf that means anyway.
Not a term I use regularly. I don't get the lack of having fun. Seriously you want to come here, post on an open forum and expect only serious discussion? Actually one could make quite a bit of money I guess betting on the Hawks. Banter back and forth brings out discussion, which is the main purpose...right?

It's really old. Just stop it already. sheesh

Why isn't it a good discussion to discuss why bet on the Hawks? Unpredictability actually provides opportunities. I interview people a lot. The way you get discussion going is to keep asking questions that provide thought. Maybe thought isn't allowed here?

My "friendly wager" week is always the Goopher game. Live in the Twin Cities and have a brother-in-law who's a Minnesota fan. (not to mention the rest of the extended family at the annual Christmas party).

We created a Floyd of Rosedale piggy bank. Each year the loser has to put the point differential in dollars into the pig..and wear the opposing jersey or T-shirt at the party. Despite being up on him 5-1, he's only kicked in $16 more than I have. (Don't tell me offense doesn't matter) ;)

With the total now at $90 we're still a year away from the $100 mark, where we crack it open and the four of us go out for happy hour.

The topic wasn't about why bet on the Hawks! Come on HawkGold quit being like that.

Maybe if you actually asked a non-rhetorical question that wasn't dripping in vitriolic hate. Also, not sure if you saw the name of the thread, but it does say "friendly wagers" not Vegas betting. You're better than this.

That isn’t accurate. Penn State rolled Iowa last November. Iowa definitely plays better in November though.
