I was there today....some of the things he said.....

Likes the make-up of the team....didn't know if he could say it but he thinks they will be better than people think

We will score more than 60 points.

Talked about how he is going to build the program the right way with players who have high character, want to graduate.....

Has had several meetings with players on the team so they understand their role....said they have all agreed to their role....or how he sees them fitting into the puzzle

Overall I'm optomistic for the season, if I didn't coach High School basketball I would probably be a season ticket holder.

I think this team has potential as well, and will be better than most think. It seems there is plenty of talent to move the ball very well around the court, which is perfect for transition basketall. Also, there will be the defense learned from the previous regime. Our defensive skillset will be a little higher than your typical transition based team, IMO.
That, and it seems that a few of our players are better apt to the uptempo game. Such as, Gatens, May and Brommer. With Brommer being the player that I believe has the biggest chance at improvement on the entire team.

Starting 5 to begin the season:
May - SF
Cole - PF
Gatens - G/F
Payne - PG
???

We need Basabe, Archie, Brommer or McCabe to step up. I say go with the best defender out of this group.

There is an issue that will overshadow this team, and that problem is the Big Ten is at it's peak of late. We could be vastly superior to last years team, and I believe we will, but not show that huge improvement in the W-L columns...
