Coach Ralph Miller was great, back then you didnt know about the assistants much. Few TV games but there was radio. Miller was great to listen to and had top teams in MVC, Big 10 and PAC 8 during UCLA times. Lute was the first to get a lot of TV time and he was always at Boys State giving great interviews, his radio interviews after games and on TV were great and you knew some of his staff.
But my favorite was Mr. Davis with the pressing, high scoring, he won at BC and Stanford. I heard Mr. Davis slacked off on recruiting his last few years which perhaps lead to his exit.

I have already said I think Fran is great. He switches defense to find what he likes, very insightful and good in interviews, I like his passion, not to knock our point guards but his half court offense gets a lot of good looks and if he had a really stud pt guard the offense would be even better.

Mr. Davis. Fond memories when I was growing up with his teams catching them on espn or espn+. Some great players and teams. Given how long Fran has been here and the trajectory he could get that spot for me, but at this point no so much. Not surprising given that ~10 year blackout of Iowa BB.
