What exactly does a person have to do to win this award? I see it is a "postgraduate award." What does that mean?

judging by the names on the award, I think it will be awarded to someone who accomplishes something big after their playing days ...

the winner is <name>, <school> class of <year>, <#> time letterman in <sport>, now the head of <insert big name charitable organization here>
