Forced myself to watch the 1st half again.

How did Iowa not have that game put away by then? Coker 180 yards! Yet they didn't run him but twice inside the 20 in the first half. But I'm just here in Iowa watching the game, what do I know?

Not putting that game away shortened the game for Minnesota, and they took advantage, while Iowa looked on.

The combination of play-calling and lack of execution inside the 20s, especially in the 1st half was the ball game. Instead of putting an inferior opponent away early Iowa allowed Minnesota to gain confidence. Iowa's lack of aggressive running game inside the 20s was/is unbelievable to me.

This team lacks an offensive identity 8 games into the season and there are NO apparent leaders either side of the ball. Not to mention that Iowa's defense looked passed in the 4th quarter and they hadn't been on the field all game like in recent weeks. Bottom line is this: When you are flip-flopping your MLB and SLB 8 games into the season you are scraping for answers that don't exist.

I think part of the problem was he was gassed on 2 series inside the 20. That is where we missed a change of pace back to get him some rest.

This. On two of the series Coker ran us on long runs down inside the twenty and thus was being spelled. Since we don't have anybody with size at runningback that hurt us.
