For all the SECSPN haters

I know they are quite a few out there that don't like ESPN, I'm not a huge fan, but I listen to Cowherd daily and he has been very high on the B10 this year. He just had Ivan Maisel on and Masiel says he likes Iowa at #2 based on the mature group of players they have and they are playing OSU in IC. Cowherd agreed and they both think that the B10 is definitely stronger this year.

Take it for what it's worth, but for those that complain about no respect, it's there. It's just early in the season and there are a lot of great stories out there. Let's just enjoy what we have. Go Hawks!

Yeah, I was surprised when Cowherd said it. He credited the senior QBs in the B10 compared to the younger QBs in the SEC.

Most pundits are picking an Arizona victory Saturday night though. I wouldn't call it a lack of respect necessarily, just an acknowledgement of the task at hand in the desert.

maybe it is just Cowherd stroking the egos of the B10 this week, since he is doing his show live from 4 B10 campus next week: Wisc, Iowa, Mich, then PSU. Gotta sell his show! :)

You just summed up in two lines what we've been discussing for pages upon pages this week. Well Said!

they are all bandwagoners. if a team is doing well, they jump on and rip them only when they want more viewers and publicity. Cowherd is a deusche. I have no beef with Ivan as he is pretty accurate on assessments, but i stand by my right to hate the SEC and ESPN

After he is done with his Midwest tour, he will go straight back to bashing the B10. I think he is just trying to keep from getting beat down by college students during his show.

I believe Cowherd, whenever I have heard him, which admittedly is not much the last few weeks, has had nothing but good things to say about both Iowa and OSU. I know some people want to set him up as a boogey man that they can bash around, but the facts just don't match that perception.

National pundits are not high on Iowa to get ratings, they are high on Iowa because Iowa is good. Not every sports reporter is involved in a conspiracy to make our team look bad.

Did you listen to Cowherd last year during football season? The guy couldn't wait for us to lose so that we didn't muddy up the BCS picture. I've heard mostly bad things coming from him when it comes to the Big Ten which is partially why I stopped listening to him

I did hear that, but that was last year. And for the record, I agreed with what he was saying about the Big 10 last year, because until last year, the Big 10 had not come through in big games. I didn't like what he had to say, but it made some sense.

This year, I am fairly certain he picked OSU to win the BCS title, which again seems to ruin the image we want him to have. I thought we got upset when someone rode an established narrative, even though facts show other wise?

Cowherd generally calls it pretty straight. If he favors anyone, it's the PAC-10 and USC. But he's been high on Iowa all year, really since the Orange Bowl. The issue I have with SECSPN is that it seems like they ALWAYS prioritize the SEC. They have a show called SEC weekly for crying out loud. When you only have one matchup of 2 ranked teams and you send your entire CFB delegation to a meaningless matchup in the SEC, it kinda shows where your priorities lie.
