If Nebraska does join big ten on Friday, how does that affect football schedules for this year and next year?

Too late to affect either one in my opinion.

I think Penn State joined in 1989 and didn't field a Big 10 team until 1993, if that's any indication.

Remember there are contracts involved that have $$ attached to withdrawals, so you can't just wipe the schedules clean, especially if we add an additional conference game.

Agreed, I think it'll be the fall of 2012.

But were talking about a whole conference possibly imploding. It might happen sooner then you think.
