I love how the coaches and players like to say they take it one game at a time and forget about past games, etc. More untrue words have never been spoken. This team lost their edge once the BCS game and B10 title hopes were gone. Maybe even after the AZ game when they came up empty.

No doubt about it, there is a residual (positive) when you win a close game and a huge negative residual when you lose a close game. Particularly when you consider that these players are only 18-22 years old. It can snowball one way or the other. Heck, if you don't believe it, study the 1965 Iowa football season!
