because a dynasty is brewing over in Ames with all their momentum(other than the winning of course). Unfortunately I live in Des Moines and have lots of acquaintances with ISU ties and 4 of them told me about how Pollard had announced the Mangino hiring today so that it would be the big story during the title game. Must have been an oversight on their part. Stupid basturds.

polly is so sly. no doubt wanted to dominate the game conversation with all the glorious happenings up in tundra town with the latest being the south endzone solution. wonder if he got a mention? last i checked, the only iowa mention on espn front page was mccaffery. no clown headlines.

I thought Iowa at times was bad in the PR/Marketing Dept., but Polly is much, much worse. Had he waited a day or two after the championship game, ISU might have gotten a mention or a small headline on ESPN and CBS Sports. No way were they going to be heard over the din of the BCS title tilt or the aftermath of the NFL wildcard games Monday.
