Iowa stepped up with an offer for Danuel Oscar last month. The Florida athlete told HN that he likes what he's hearing about the Hawkeyes:

Those track times were not especially impressive. His 100m time (11.71) would not have made finals in Iowa 4A last year. As a comparison, Soko was 6th at 11.30. He must play faster than his track times.

I got around to watching a bit of his tape. He looks like he has great burst through the line and a good sense of where the running lanes will be. He does not run away from a lot of people at the 2nd level, which is probably a reflection of the competition level as well as a lack of elite speed. His 100m best is almost exactly the same as LeShun Daniels' 100m PR, and Daniels certainly proved to be a good player for the Hawks. I am sure LeShun was much bigger than 165 as a high school junior, though.

There is a lot more to playing football then top-end speed, and I am sure the coaches have seen enough if they are offering him this early.
