FLAT.

Seems like everyone is flat, the coaches, players, fans and message boards.

Has apathy set in? Has the incident at PSU just put a damper on college football?

Let down game, watched it happen to Texas Tech after OU win, Michigan St. lost to Nebraska looking completely flat after the big win against Wisconsin. Sadly, it's a big part of average football programs...which we are becoming.

Really disappointed in how the Offense played to day. They completely gave the game away from the beginning right through to the end.

Iowa is always flat. The defense is always on their heels. QBs sit in the pocket all day - again costs the Hawks dearly today. Offense is predictable. What is there to be excited about?

Think apathy has set in somewhat. Last year 7-5. This season looks like 6-6. Next season we have a much less talented team, add in a tough schedule and I'm not sure this team gets bowl eligible next season...maybe 5-7? But hopefully this season and next season the underclassmen get much needed development and some fire to prove naysayers in 2013.

Nope, it's just Kirk. He would never want his team to get too fired up.

This +1,000,000. This team is an extension of KF. His humble, ho-hum approach is killing us. I've never seen a coach who can suck the fun and emotion out of a squad faster with his play calling and approach. He's done a lot of great things for this program and I can't thank him enough for his efforts. However, he's become stagnent and unmotivated. It's time for him to move on to another project that will return that fire to his belly. This move will be best for both parties concerned.

*I realize that O'keefe calls the plays, but ultimately it's KF's call*

Flat yes, but we continually put the wrong players in spots a critical times in the game and expect them to excel. I hate to call anyone out but we can't expect Derby to make clutch catches when he has a hard enough time making them wide open. Coker gets stuffed all day long and we refuse to sub in McCall for a change of pace. It's beyond frustrating and we keep seeing the same thing over and over.
