After officially visiting Iowa this past weekend, Florida WR Calvin Lockett announced Wednesday night that he'd be a Hawkeye. He spoke with HN about it:

It would be nice to get a WR that has really good hands. The last 5-7 years it feels like every post game analysis has one bullet that reads "dropped passes"

I rewatched every game this year. Every team we played had moments where its best WR dropped passes. So 100% catch-rate ain't happenin.

What we need is a game-breaker. In the last 10 years we've had several WRs transfer out of the program. Names like Townsend; Cleveland; Cam Wilson; Willies and some others.

KF/BF made a mistake by not using Wadley more as a receiver. His hands are pretty good but it's his breakaway ability that separates him from every other receiver on the team.

IIRC didn't Harmon have like 900 yards rushing & receiving in 1985? EDIT: I was wrong.1100yds rushing - 600 receiving.

i agree w/you on wadley. my thought going into the season was that we should use wadley and butler at the same time and use wadley in the slot and motion him. but, i'm just an internet jockey.

You get what you deserve when you’re a dogshit, boring offense that struggles mightily on offense to surpass 17 points a game and frankly Iowa freaking State was more entertaining to watch. Until Iowa departs from the same ‘ol boring, slow, predictable offense, they just won’t be able to recruit explosive receivers. And most unfortunately, I just don’t think KF actually cares.

hell, all they have to do is run tempo and they can run the same flipping offense. they aren't even THAT smart, apparently.

There is a pretty big window between 100% catch rate and where our receivers were.
