First one decommits

Let's make no mistake, fellas - these recruits aren't decommitting from psu because of high moral fiber and a staunch conviction about doing the right thing. They're decommitting because they're worried that psu will suck at football in the coming years and that they won't get their shot at the big time and an nfl payday

Shut up. You have no idea why they are decommitting and commenting just makes you look like an idiot

count me among the idiots then. On the list of reasons why many of PSU's players are likely to decommit, Morals ranks behind:

1. uncertainty.
2. coaches who recruited them won't be there
3. related to #1 but they chose PSU for the championship pedigree. Is that team going to win much?

Did you question these 17 year old kids when you came up with your rankings?

Don't forget about the parents. I'm sure most of the parents will tell the athletes that they will not go to a school that is "morally" off like PSU is.

I hope we poach every one of them.

Heck I hope their entire defensive line transfers to God's Country .

Did you read the article? Even the player that decommited isn't ruling out recommiting to PSU.

his quote:
"I'm not saying that I've completely ruled [Penn State] out, but I don't know what's going to happen there in the next couple months," he said. "The waiting and not knowing what's going to happen has been the biggest factor [in the decision]."

I read it. Does 1 kid speak for 20 some?

Recruits want to go to a school where they can:

1) Win
2) Play in a bowl game and hopefully, a good bowl game
3) Get exposure and make it into the NFL

There is a lot of uncertainty as to what the future will hold for PSU and each of the above points are now highly in questions.

That is most definitely going to drive all of their current recruits to take a second look, if not bail out completely.

agreed - but there is certainly truth in what cyclown17 is saying - would you really want to be associated with this school right now? i would not as either the recruit or a player. certainly a scarlet letter university at this point - especially the way the students reacted after the firings.

How does it affect you as a student. It doesn't and I would have no reservations about attending there. As a recruit I don't know why you would decommit now because you're probably gonna get a damn good head coach in there that can bring some offense to go with that defense, and what happened there won't reflect on you at all. If they get a coach they will be good at PSU.

Make sure you get a good look of those showers. I hear they are top notch.
