Norm shouldn't have to fired. He should have the decency to retire. However, KOK should not get that luxury. WTF does he wait until 4th down to put Stanzi in shot gun?! Just pure freaking worthless.
Whoa guys, O'Keefe called a decent game. If he had Coker to work with all year, you would have seen a different offense all season. The D played pretty well, too, it's just they got pushed around on the last drive by a better ball club. No shame in what happened today guys.
The best thing I saw was Morris beginning to bloom into a legit B10 LB and he's only a freshman. Step away from the ledge and don't abandon the program over one game.
I have no problem with our basic offense gameplan our playcalling is just horrible. Defense this season has convinced me we need to change things up. When we don't have very elite LBs our pass defense becomes swiss cheese.
Here's what I'd do, if I were in KF's Bruno Maglis: flip-flop L Erb and K O'K.
Let Coach Erb tack a crack at coordinating the O and calling plays, and let Coack O'Kueefe work his magic with the special teams unit.
This sort of innovation and out-of-the-box personnel management by KF would make us elite.
Look bud, Persa played and NU ran a steady ball control offense that limited our chances and the wind was a MAJOR factor last week. Just because Illinois scored 48 with a freshman QB and a shiny new offensive coordinator doesn't mean we should be able to score more than 17 against the cats.
But OKeefe will come on here and tell you that they scored 48 because they all had to go in one direction or the smell of Old Style and brats increased their production numbers or some lame excuse.
