finals destination set

Interesting to see how the home field advantage helps the pokes. I believe that the CHA crowd lifted Ramos to another level and I think Gallagher Iba will be a factor to tip it back towards Oliver

side note: anyone else notice how kindig was in the lineup against Ohio State? I guess Smith really meant business, he almost sat Kindig out for a FULL week!

Kindig looked good until he hurt his foot in the Ohio State match. We'll see if he's abe to recover by this weekend.

Looking at the scores after the fact, the Pokes would have easily advanced without Kindig in the lineup. Smith made a positive statement when he called Kindig out and stated he wouldn't be wrestling for them but then, in my opinion, lost any credibility he gained and then some by wrestling him. With all the recent behavioral mishaps they've had up in Stillwater, I would have thought Smith would've stuck to his original statement and not had Kindig wrestle for them this weekend.

Gabe - I think Coach Smith achieved his objective. He got Kindig's attention and assumably changed his behavior. Also, I can't fault the coach when I don't even know why he was upset in the first place (i.e. what was Kindig's transgression?). I think Coach Smith let his emotions get the best of him in that interview, but maybe that was part of the game.

I agree Coach Smith may have met his objective with Kindig but his choice to wrestle Kindig after making such a strong public statement cast the impression of a pretty soft stance on team misconduct especially with Kindig being a repeat offender of team rules. I just would have thought a coach with his experience would have erred on the side of making too strong of a statement to his wrestlers after all the recent misbehavior down in Stillwater. Obviously, without knowing the details on what Kindig did to be called out makes it tough to accurately judge Smith's decision to wrestle Kindig after stating he wouldn't be wrestling for them.
