Stadium looked amazing. I can't believe they pulled that off as well as they did. I have seen positive comments on other boards about it as well.
It was nice to see the D-Line play with the energy that they played with much of last year. I think playing Penn State as the 1st game out of the gate will end up being a great thing for this team. Penn State seems to bring out the best in the program.
I really think that Iowa's offense can move the ball rather effectively when it wants to. It seems that the passing game has been able to do so when a good mix of run/pass is being called. Regardless of the close to the vest calling in the second half, when Iowa was mixing it up...they moved the ball very well.
A 2nd running back is going to need to start getting carries. I am hoping the bye week will be a good time to get Coker comfortable. Gonna need him.
Morris. GONNA BE REAL GOOD. The defense for next year is looking better and better and better.
The cornerbacks seem to be doing some real learning on the fly. I believe the athleticism and talent is there at cornerback, but obviously mistakes are still being made. The bye week should be a good time to correct some issues. Good to see the safeties and linebackers start to get their hands on passes again.
The special teams seems to have improved since Arizona. Both punt and kickoff coverage against excellent return athletes from Penn State were good. Punt protection was good. Seems like progress has been made there. Still curious to see how the field goal kicking will play out though. Haven't seen enough.
