Fearless Stanzi Draft Prediction...

We have heard all the analysis by now. To those it matters to we know Ricky's strengths, which are many; and we know where further development is necessary for him to excel at the next level. We have seen comparisons to Brady by some with everything that brings and we have some analysts insisting RS is a career back up at best. Well the time is upon us.

I see what appears to be a very favorable draft dynamic for quarterbacks. With the lockout in place NFL teams are forbidden to engage in trading current players. This makes those teams that are desperate for a QB extra nervous and sensitive; feeling even more pressure to get a QB. This "perfect storm" makes teams without even a pressing need for a QB give it extra thought.

Here goes...It is in this environment I say there is no way he gets out of the SECOND ROUND.

Fortunately for him, this years draft momentum appears to be favoring QBs even though not one of them is worth a ****. He will be the 7th QB taken and wind up in the 5th round heading to Kansas City. I believe I originally had him slotted into the 5th or 6th round.

What may surprise some would be to see Nathan Enderle taken ahead of Stanzi. If that happens then I don't see him taken until the final round. He will get drafted.

5 days ago. See above.

Very impressive, but during the Maine game back in 2008, I had pegged him as the second coming of Mark Vlasic bince he reminded me so much of Mark and predicted he would play at least some portion of his pro career in Kansas City.

clap-clap- clap for Hawkeye12345.
Nailed it coach. get to vegas!

The reason that I reminded some of my predictions was because I was getting so much flak from people on this board thinking that I was a Stanzi hater. I don't hate Ricky, in fact, I think he did an above average job for Iowa considering our OC and QB coach is one of the worst in the country.

I yelled the loudest in the thread about some twit that came up with his own calculations about how Ricky was the 2nd coming of Christ per his 'analysis'.

That guy is just trying to sell snake oil and catch lightning in a bottle at the same time. No way, no how is Ricky a top flight NFL QB but he is a great Hawkeye.

You got lucky on a pick and now you're the man?

OKf4prez, way to get in a not-so-subtle jab in at KOK. I gotta admire your consistency.

I'm actually coming around to your thinking on our offense. Exhibit A: Insight Bowl. We run them ragged for almost 3 quarter and then go to the pass (2 interceptions) from there. It didn't make much sense.

Oh well......

Why you giving OK4 the credit? O'Keefe is horrible. Hows that for subtle?

Lucky? Come on dude. I picked the round and the team. Some of you couldn't pick the nutts out of your own ****.

Um....yeah, you got lucky. I'm pretty sure you didn't know what was going to happen. You made a prediction and it was right. But you had a 1 in 254 chance. That's pretty lucky.

This is even better than Liam's Mum!

Okay- now down to serious stuff...

1. Will Wegher find his way?

2. Should I put down fertilizer in my yard or is it going to rain?

3. Which horse will win the fifth race at Saratoga tomorrow?

In all seriousness, totally impressive fearless prediction, Mr. Paoli!

1. Yes. The Woodbury County Courthouse is pretty easy to find. Even a ******** like him could find it.

2. As you know by now most meteorologists couldn't predict what they had for breakfast let alone what they will have tomorrow. I will not cheapen my gift and lower myself to their ilk.

3. Everyone knows the winner in the 5th will get disqualified.
