FD Messenger article on Iowa's season

No joke. I found this in the dictionary.
Eric Pratt Defined:
Usually an alpha male that is frequently loud and brutally honest at all times. An over the top sexually inactive **hole who always believes he is right with his opinionated persona and obnoxiously loud voice. An out of control male normally needing a stronger female to keep him in line. Otherwise he remains out of control.

If someone cares that much as to need to research the context which Miller's prediction was made, they need to find more opportunities to be productive with their lives or keep entertained. This is a simple sports opinion column from a podunk town in Iowa, not a discussion on foreign policy in the WSJ. Secondly, I'm not sure in what other context one can possibly take a 12-0 prediction for a football team. You would make a fine bureaucrat.

It's like researching or scouting your next wrestling opponent. It applies to all facets. If you do your homework correctly you will have a better interpretation of the matter at hand, thus to know how much sugar to swallow of one's particular comments, strengths or weaknesses.

With regard to Jon Miller, his body of work is a testament to his research and dedication to something he knows and enjoys. Right or wrong, I understand and appreciate his background, work ethic, and writing. However, others not familiar should be given an opportunity to the same information. (especially if they are living in a sheltered "podunk" community in Iowa).

You would make a fine bureaucrat.
In a pc manner, I'll take that as a compliment! ;)

As far as I'm concerned, anything with a wrestling analogy sounds better. Regarding the article, I don't know the author so I can't assume what his motive is for bringing up Jon. I didn't take it as a slam on Jon, but rather a slam on the media as a whole for building unreasonable hype for teams/athletes.

I don't blame Jon at all for predicting a 12-0 season. That's what I was hoping for and had belief that this team had the talent to do so. I disagree with the author's assumptions that because we lost some NFL talent we didn't have the pieces in place to perform at a high level. This team failed because of coaching miscues and special teams blunders in my opinion.
