I haven't played for four years, but was talked into it this year.

It's Year 1 of a keeper league through CBS.

I need advice on how to approach the draft. I have the 6th pick in a 12-team snake draft. The league is a head-to-head league with a basic scoring system.

Should I target starting pitching at the top of the draft? Or a big bat?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If it's a standard 5x5 scoring system then do your best to have a balanced team. Personally, I draft hitting early on because SP is pretty deep with good, young arms. Let other people take the Halladays and Kershaws in the 2nd or 3rd round while you grab someone like Jose Reyes or Ian Kinsler to fill in at super shallow positions. Oh, and draft Matt Moore and Mike Trout : )

I would personally go with a bat, someone who hits for power and average if you can land one. Also, wouldn't hurt to get someone who can rack up some stolen bases as well (assuming you get points for that).

I have the #1 pick in my draft tomorrow and I still don't know who to take. I'm open to any suggestions. Kemp? Cabrera? Pujols?

IMO- I would pick between Pujols and Kemp. They key is predicated upon how the league scoring is set.
