For all the fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes and University of Iowa alumni who have made the trip to the Big Apple for the Hawkeye Football game against Rutgers tomorrow, here are fan events you may wish to consider --
Friday, Sept 23, the Iowa at Rutgers Hawkeye Huddle, 6-8 p.m. (eastern) at the Sheraton New York, 811 Seventh Ave. and W. 53rd St., New York. The National I-Club and the University of Iowa Alumni Association host the Hawkeye Huddles, which feature snacks, cash refreshments, door prizes, Herky, and the Iowa Spirit Squads. Iowa's Creative Corridor proudly presents the Hawkeye Huddle receptions at away football games this season. Additional sponsors for the 2016 Hawkeye Huddles includeCoralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center (http://www.marriott.com/…/cidic-coralville-marriott-hotel-a…) and Iowa River Landing(www.iowariverlanding.com).
Friday, Sept 23, the Hawkeye Welcome Party, 8:30pm-close (eastern) at The Oldcastle Pub, 160 West 54th Street, New York. Following the Hawkeye Huddle, join the UI Alumni Association to continue the Hawkeye revelry. Oldcastle Pub is one block away from the Sheraton. Admission to the Hawkeye Welcome Party is $10 with a portion of the proceeds to directly benefit the Alumni Association. Open to the first 400 guests.
Saturday, September 24 - Iowa vs. Rutgers Game! - Tailgate spot near the stadium hosted by the NY Metro Iowa Alumni Club. More info here: http://www.nymetroiowaclub.com/rutgers-game-info
