Face it, the hawks and even the Big 10 do not have the top flight guards

Explosive guards playing in tonite's champ game on both teams, multiple guards on both teams. I didnt watch a ton of Big 10 games this year but during the Big 10 Tourney and the Big 10 NCAA games I watched Purdue's Ivey is the only explosive guard I have seen. JoeT for the hawks could blow by once in awhile but didnt finish or assist at a high enough rate.

This is where the hawks need to get much better.

Agreed, guard play is where it is at. You have to be able to attack the rim and finish. Both teams could do that tonight.

And I didnt mention the flip side which is our guards cannot guard those fast types of guards. It is a big handicap.
