Ezra Reiners to walk-on to Iowa State

Randy - if he has your temperament, that should be a plus for him, given he isn't walking on at the QB position.
 
They mentioned Charles Rogers in the article. Why did we not offer him again? From what I am hearing the kid is going to be a 4 year starter at Iowa State as a 6'1 DB.

Because Kirk Ferentz was to busy doing favors for buddies and offering kids like Kittle's kid when he had a talent like Rogers af few blocks from campus and completely ignored him.

Lots of bad whispers about him around IC from what my buddies say.

In fact I also know that ISU was worried that Iowa knew something they didn't, just because of the fact that Iowa wasn't all over him.

No they werent. They thought Iowa was ******* stupid for not offering the kid and they were right.

Could Rogers end up being a good player? Sure he could. That isn't the issue here, the issue is how big of a risk do you take on a kid when you know for a fact he has had issues? Iowa decided to pass, it might be a terrible decision, but with all of the things that were going on recently at that time (Adam Robinson, DJK, etc.) it was a no brainer for them to pass on a risky kid.

I can't beleive he is only 5'8"...my son played with him. I thought he was at least 5'11".. anyway ,the kid is a heck of FB player. He has excellent FB IQ. He's also really good at baseball. I figured that would be the sport he played in college.

I can tell you from personal experience that George is just as talented as Charlie and that Charlie Rogers is a huge dumb-***
