Eye poke gate....

Isnt that pretty close to his average?

I'm not going to take the time to look at stats.

Woody is a 7 feet tall and a 4 star recruit with an offer from North Carolina. Based on that he's gotta be averaging more than 4 points and 3 rebounds by his junior year.

He's about double that - close to 8 and 6.

Having said that, he is still not performing to the hype and star status.

He'll never average in double figures.

Woody, what can we say? That dude has been lights out lately, but last night, he was jobbed by 2 centers that are not that good, and Eliasen is a punk a$$ who plays dirty (imo).....I don't think the whole "eye poke" thing is a distraction, these kids are kids who have had pressure situations in the past and have had a great deal of success in becoming who they are....they just need to rise above a game like they had last night and get back to winning....

No. The effort was awful and they played stupid. Once they have a little success, they think the can just show up, roll the ball out and win. This is a pattern under Mccaffery. You would think you would push your guys harder when everyone is telling them how good they are. This group, including the coach, can't handle success and I think that's pretty evident at this point.

How about calling a flagrant 1 on the goofers for eye poking Clemmons? If it is called against 1 team the same should go for the other. This seems to be more evidence of anti Iowa bias.

I agree with others. It seemed either his confidence was puffed up by poke-gate or he wanted to prove he was a legit player because of poke-gate. Either way, he tried some things he just couldn't do...and failed.

I chalked the eye pokes up to SH in basketball.
BUT
That dunk attempt by a 7' 1'' Woodbury last night was pitiful.

No. This team is what it is. Up/down. Good to bad.

Inconsistent play and execution.

Head-scratching coaching decisions in lineups and player loyalty.

I copy/pasted this from a football post to save time.

Um no because that's not what it was.... I don't think it should been called one at all. Everyone needs to pipe down and just look at each play for what they are. That was as unintentional as it gets. If it would have been called a foul at the time I'd have been fine with it. But it is what it is play on.

Woodbury's eye poke was unintentional as was Gabe's contact to the face earlier this year. If they were called so should the goofers. It is the inconsistency that I don't like.
