Everyone

Ironically, basketball may be more fun and enjoyable to watch this year than the football team. Nobody really expects much and any improvements and any win is that much more of a pleasant surprise. With the more uptempo and pressing play, it makes things that much more fun and enjoyable to watch. Could just be what the doctor ordered to wash this bad taste of a very disappointing football season out of our mouths.

If that's really the case, then you take expectations way too seriously. Think about it-- you're saying that you'll have more fun watching a team that will struggle to get ninth in the Big Ten than a team that was 15 points away from an undefeated season.

Let go of the expectations. Nobody can predict anything anyway, and it makes something that should be really fun into something that just gives everyone a huge case of heartburn.

I don't know. I've had more fun watching basketball already than this football season. I mean football has had its moments, but the letdowns have taken a toll. Sure, nobody knows for sure what is going to happen. But, it was not unrealistic to have high expectations for the football team.

Just a wasted season imho......I will support them though.....I'm just ready to watch some basketball and see some different things and let loose so to speak.

So what about next year? Pre-season Big Ten Standing Prediction? I would say predicated to finish behind Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisconsin? Probably 4th or 5th place and an Outback Bowl predicted? Next year could be a year we exceed the predictions... under KF this is exactly what happens. It is never boring that is certain.

Really, I think that if you haven't enjoyed watching a team that is 15 pts from being undefeated, no matter how frustrating it is, then don't be a fan any longer.
The basketball team has no expectations, so whatever they do for the positive is magnified, but wait until the B10 season. Unfortunately, we will get pasted on a regular basis as much as it pains me to type. Now, it isn't such a letdown when it happens, but still just as frustrating for me. I like the idea of high expectations rather than none at all because that means you are not relevant as a program. Personally, I would rather have each loss be considered and upset than each win be considered and upset. That is the difference between the programs at this point and if I had my choice, I would want to be in Football programs position, hopefully, we will get there with Fran.

Also, if I weren't in Michigan and lived anywhere near Iowa City, I would get season tickets. I will be in support of the Hawks on Jan. 30th in Ann Arbor.

Entitled much? 7-4 with a great chance to be 9-4 after a January bowl.

So disappointing, right? Get a grip.

Damn straight it's disappointing. One of the best D-lines in the country led by one of the top 20 players in the country. A top 10 SS in the country. An experienced Senior QB. An explosive group of receivers. Solid o-line and RBs. 7-4 is damn disappointing with this group.

I'm not sure if we did have one of the best d lines in the country, and I'm not sure AC was one of the top 20 players in the country.

Those WERE the expectations coming into the season, but I'm not sure those expectations were really true.

btw--AC always looked dead tired to me. I was at every game that they lost (incl Tucson and Evanston). To me, he just looked winded a lot of the time. Just my opinion. Don't shoot.

Haven't been to a game in a few years but when I get back home for winter break me and buddies are gonna head up to a game at Carver and be loud as hell. I reckon some of you should do the same.

not being able to get back for any of the games and being forced to watch them on TV, i really hope to see a few games this year where the stadium has a LEGITIMATE attendance of over 11k rather than the "official announced attendance" that was so common last year.

We were 1-3 last year through 4 games. We averaged 57 points in those 4 games. This year we have averaged 66 points through 4 games.
