Iowa favorites of 6.5 points is a gift from the the Vegas Gods. Bet the farm and take the grandparents to Denny's after the game to celebrate. Iowa wins easily over a FCS team again.
 
Certainly surprising how low the spread is considering where the line is at historically. Definitely like Iowa to cover.

What's really suprising and a little worrisome is that despite 81% of bets coming in on Iowa the spread keeps moving lower. There's some big time money coming in on ISU and that makes me a little nervous.

Has anyone seen a money line on this one yet? It should come in at +250 for ISU.

I would lay $100 on Iowa to cover and $100 on ISU to win outright.

If Iowa covers you push. If ISU wins, you win $150 (less the juice on the Iowa to cover which is $10). Net +$140.

You lose $200 plus the $20 juice if Iowa wins by 6 or less.

Probability:

Iowa to cover 70%
Iowa to win but not cover 25%
ISU to win 5%

Betting portfolio is likely to return $95 once probabilities input.

The hermanator always says whenever a line looks too good to be true...it usually is...

In this case, he would say, bet the farm on the Clones...
 
Don't they usually give 3 points to the home team? SO in this case, they would think Iowa is really a 9.5 point superior team to ISU. would seem like a logical spread to me if that's accurate.

This line strikes fear in my heart. Lines get blown up all the time, but this one is very suspicious. They are begging you to take Iowa.
 
Does anyone know what the line was last year? I seem to remember it being around 13, and iowa gets more than 3 points for Kinnick, I can't remember how much though. So really, the line seems pretty accurate given the fact that Iowa is not supposed to be as good as last year when they played and it is at Iowa State.

Beware the gambling empire bearing gifts. This one is gonna be tighter than a tick on a mule butt. Iowa 20 ISU 17.
 
Two things could stop Iowa from covering this easily. Fumbles and a Vandeburg injury.

If neither occurs I don't seen any way Iowa doesn't win by double digits.

The only way ISU can hang in this is if they can consistently move the chains on the ground, Iowa will play contain on Jantz and try to force him to throw rather than picking up yards on broken plays. I do'nt see him being able to consistently move the ball through the air.

I think people are underestimating how good Iowas passing offense is going to be. Vandy, McNutt and Davis are all NFL prospects. Not to mention Herman and CJF.
 
This is a bowl game for them. They will be all sorts of jacked up. We better come out intense or we will struggle to cover.
