I certainly don't care about these polls any more than I care about 'stars'. And from what I understand, who actually 'filled out' the poll isn't always the same person who's 'name' is attached to it. It's just all entertainment 'stuff'...

Okie St. grad has his favorite at #18..................try to find another reputable poll with OSU ranked higher than Iowa in the preseasons. Oh well, I guess he's entitled to an opinion.

It just blows my mind that a school can come off the year they had. Have the returning players that they do. Have the schedule that they do. (if they had Wiskys schedule it'd be a little different...)
And be not ranked going into the next season. That makes no sense at all. There’s always going to be a school or two that will have a wide range of people’s opinions on but most people have to assume that Iowa’s going 9-3 next yr as the floor? Maybe 8 if the bottom falls out and they lose a game they really shouldn’t. If they go 9-3 that’s top 20 territory right there. So you can’t say they don’t deserve to be preseason ranked if that’s also what you think they’ll end up doing right? Now I haven’t heard him give his two cents on what he thinks Iowa will do this yr but unless he says Iowa won’t win more than 8 games he doesn’t have a leg for his argument. (For the record I think Iowa will do no worse than 9-3. With the sky being the limit again. I mean why not?)
