ESPN just reported

that sources close to the situation are saying that ESPN is in negotiations with Lebron James on a deal for ESPN to broadcast a special on Thursday night where Lebron announces who he is going to sign with.

I'm about ready to give up on journalism in general and just go to the internet for my information...and ESPN is no better than any of the major "regular" news outlets that are so scrutinized. Maybe worse because as far as television goes...they have no serious competitor.

I have hated the NBA for a long time and this crosses the T in hate. I also am tremendously disappointed and saddened about what ESPN has become. Lame.

He is having a 1 hour special to announce where he is signing. Then he wants to sell advertisement and donate it all to the boys and girls club, but seriously LeBron you don't need a freaking hour to announce where you are signing and you have enough money of your own you could donate instead of having someone else step up and donate the money and make you look like the good guy by donating to the boys and girls club.

This whole thing is a joke. Afterall how many NBA Championship rings does he have?

ESPN seemed to go downhill fast once it was purchased by Disney.

I used to love waking up early before Junior high (93,94) and even into high school to catch the highlights of last night's game. The anchors were witty, but they actually showed highlights and that was that. Then it became more analysis and who can shout the loudest.

You sum it up pretty well, I quit watching it a while ago.

Early to mid-90's was the Golden Age for ESPN. They had really great anchors during that time.

dudes an egomaniac with a fivehead, the best part about this whole thing is that this clown Chris Broussard (who might be the worst on air talent ESPN has) is reporting his "sources" are telling him that Lebron is in negotiations with ESPN about a 1 hour special. So basically the dude Chris Broussard was sitting next to at lunch that also works at ESPN, its such a side show its not even funny
