Eric Graham gone too

Buried on depth chart. 4th string in June before prize recruits arrive & Benjamin on the horizon. Anything can happen but that is long way from meaningful snaps.

Mr. Wadley says HELLO

This is true. If you are in the running back depth chart, things can change in a hurry. Having said that, one can understand why he would move on, and why it's perfectly fine that he does. If I'm Graham, I see Wadley, Daniels, Mitchell all for sure ahead of me and perhaps Joly. A lot has to happen for me to get on the field for meaningful snaps this year. Two more running backs get on campus soon for this fall, and then Eno Benjamin and at least 1 other RB the following class.

Graham leaving is not an indictment of either the program or the kid. The guys at the bottom of the depth chart leaving is actually healthy for the program, in that scholarships get churned over. That's a harsh assessment, but such is life.

With RBs about anything can happen with the depth chart. We know that as well as anyone. However with the RBs currently ahead of him that he wouldn't pass without injuries and those being recruited up behind him that will very most likely leap frog him I can see why he'd leave and want to play. He looked pretty good in spring ball to me so I can see him helping some team out. He's one of those guys where if he'd have gotten some lucky breaks he could have been a factor but more then likely the odds were that this is how it was going to go for him.
One could say that the RB that shall remain nameless that started that domino effect that went to Michigan last min that had Graham get an offer from us is a part of the reason why Eno may be coming... So that may have been a blessing we are just now realizing....

Feel kind of bad for him. He basically "bailed" us out when he signed, as it gave at least a little room for heavy sighs whenever a RB came up lame. And by all accounts he was showing well in practices.

Really hope things go well for him wherever he ends up playing.

Thats too bad, I was working on some puns about Graham Crackers or something like that after he made a big play. Oh well.

I agree. Hopefully Graham will get some playing time in the JUCO route.
I think you're right. Go Juco or FCS for a year and go back to division one for three years or stay at FCS. If he does real well the NFL will find him. He was a fallback for us after Higdon lied about his commitment. Graham never felt like a fallback recruit. I had high hopes for him, still do.

I thought he might be a good one, but I understand why he'd wanna get some playing time elsewhere. 4th string with 1-2 studs coming next year.

Good luck to him.

I don't blame him at all and wish him well. For some, just being in a program like Iowa, and having the possibility to see the field at any moment, makes it all worth it. For others... They just want to play. I can certainly understand that.

I wonder where he will end up?
