Wiscy at Nebby, just an electric environment.
I wish Carver was rocking like that last night, players just feed off that electricity.

No. Carver is a nice enough facility, but SUCKS as a home court advantage, IMO. I was struck by how much louder/energetic Hilton was when we played there.

The only reason CHA sucks is because I always see gray hairs down on court side! No offense but what good are donors if they don't give up their seats to someone who is going to yell!

Until the folks in the ivory tower consent to placing the students courtside instead of sticking them behind one backboard... CHA will always seem friendly to visiting teams.

Welcome to all hawkeye sports, you must be new here.

It looks like nebby has luxery boxes at the top. To bad Iowa doesn't do something like that and maybe it would move some of those so called gray hairs and help keep the noise in. Probably not enough room.

CHA wasn't built for students to be courtside. A lot of those places have seats around the court that allow the students to stand, and then an elevated set of seats (still good seats) where the donors get to sit. CHA seats go all the way down to the court, creating no room for the students to stand without blocking the view of those who give, but don't stand. It's inherent in the design, creating a near impossibility for the students to be along the sidelines without torquing the money crowd, which ain't gonna happen. Crisler Arena is a good example.

CHA was electric during the win over Michigan. I was in the 7th row and my ears were ringing for an hour afterwards. Like a jet engine at times. But then, the team gave the fans reason to roar.
