Egleseder has a workout with Boston

I highly doubt he gets drafted. There are so many underclassmen in this year's draft that a lot of people won't get drafted that would in other years. There are 60 draft picks and an amazing 80(!) underclassmen in the draft right now. I think this will end up being one of the best second rounds in awhile.

I was told he has a chance to go late in the 2nd round. He undoubtedly will get invited to some teams free agent camps. Big E has a chance because unlike in college he woun't be going against quick 6'7" types in the NBA. He can bang with the big boys, and he has a jumpshot. He is slower than molasses in January but he has the bulk and the length that is needed in the NBA game.

If Jared Reiner can make an NBA roster, so can Egleseder. E won't see the floor, ever. But it really is not a bad gig to sit on an NBA bench, live an NBA lifestyle, and cash an NBA check... if ya know what I am sayin'!

The mock draft site I use does not have him getting drafted. One interesting thing I did notice is that Gordan Hayward's stock is rising like crazy! I thought he was crazy for entering the draft, but he is now projected as a lottery pick!

Also, another note on this site- they do mock drafts for 2011 too, and the top 4 projected in 2011 are all HS seniors right now. The #1 pick in the 2011 NBA draft is projected to be Barnes.

Here is the link.

I generally like NBADraft.net. They have had Barnes at #1 for a long time. I've heard that a number of NBA teams have him as the number #1 guy for that draft as well.

As someone who follows UNI and also lives in Kansas City so I hear a lot about KU, I've wondered all year about the player that Egleseder is compared to Cole Aldridge.

I actually told people before the tournament that I'd like to see them play each other because from what I saw from both looked very similar to me.

When they matched up in the game at best it was a draw, if anyone got the best of the match up I'd say Egleseder won the battle that day.

I'm not saying that Egleseder is Lebron. He's not. Probably more if Cole had played for a mediocre team he'd be at the same tryout hoping for a shot as Egleseder.

I'm not an NBA guy, but as an Iowan I sure hope Egleseder can catch on somewhere and contribute...or ride the bench and cash the checks. lol

I have followed this site for about 3-4 years now too, and you are right. They have had HB #1 in 2011 for a long time now.

The underclassman that declared for the draft this year are idiots. Well at least half of them. I don't know why you would leave when you have little or no chance of getting drafted in the first let alone at ALL> Interesting note that site has Latavious Williams going 58th, he's the kid that skipped college to play in the D League

Underclassmen still have until May 8th to pull out of the draft, and there are quite a few that declare just to get an evaluation from NBA scouts to see what they need to work on for next year.

Dude, I know... But if they signed an agent they cant go back...

Aldrich is so overrated. The best that he can hope to become is Chris Kaman part 2.

Kaman has been a SOLID pro. He made the All-Star team this year.

For a lot of these guys, it is more about where they end up getting drafted. If you go to a franchise where you can develop in their system and find your niche, you will be fine. If not, you could be out of the league fast. The other thing these guys have to realize is that for the first time in their life, they may have to be a role player. There are maybe 3-4 guys in each draft that turn into All-Star caliber players. Many others become role players, and make a nice living playing basketball. The exception to this rule is the 2003 draft. Still can't believe that draft---

1. LeBron, Cavs
2. Darko Milicic, Pistons (whoops)
3. Melo, Denver
4. Bosh, Toronto
5. D-Wade, Miami
6. Kaman, LAC
7. Hinrich, Bulls
12. Collison, Sonics
18. David West, Hornets

2nd round

47. Mo Williams, Utah

Many of the guys in the D-League are fully capable of producing in the NBA, but they have not found the right fit. A guy like Earl Barron was tearing it up for the Energy, but could not stick in the league. This year he got a call from the Knicks, and he put up numbers and got himself a nice contract.

Barron is just signed through the summer. Knicks offered him 2 years like 3 mill I think and he turned it down trying to get something better.

Gordon Hayward announced yesterday he is staying in the draft..clearly his stock has risen to the point he is ready to hire an agent. Surprised, but to me ,that speaks to the weakness of this draft.
